Around 1915 the Ottoman Turkish authorities carried out the mass murder of  over one million of their Armenian subjects. In 2015 Turkey still refuses to acknowledge this Genocide; inspite of the weight of academic, political and general opinion worldwide.

Hitler allegedly embarked on his programme of building gas chambers as a ‘final solution’ by saying “for who now remembers the Armenians?”.

James Derounian, Principal Lecturer and Anglo-Armenian argues that it is high time to do what is right and acknowledge the Armenian Genocide, in the run up to its centenary on 24th April 2015.

Francis Close Campus Lecture on an Inconvenient Genocide will announce this in the University of Gloucestershire: 100 Years of Holocaust Denial by James Derounian, Principal Lecturer.

The event is free. Places are limited. Please email jderounian@glos.ac.uk to book your place.
